Malaysia Star – May 22, 2007
PETALING JAYA: Champions League final fever has struck the Liverpool Supporters Club Malaysia (LSCM) and with barely two days to go before the big match in Athens between Liverpool and AC Milan who can blame them? There was no hiding the mixture of anticipation and anxiety from the LSCM committee members when they appeared as special guests on The Star’s weekly Football Every Day podcast programme yesterday. “We hope the final on Thursday morning (3am Malaysian time) will be an exciting one but we could do with a lot less drama than the last time these two teams met in Istanbul two years ago” said Jonathan Choe spokesman of LSCM during the podcast. “A single goal could decide the final but whatever the result it will be big night out for Liverpool fans here” he added. LSCM will host its annual members night at the Cobra Club here at 10pm tomorrow to coincide with the Champions League final screening party in the wee hours of Thursday. “The venue will be divided into three screening sections with outdoor tents and an indoor section to hold more than 1000 fans.
