Anyway probably at the end of the week I’ll be doing a special short podcast on this movie recommended only to people who’ve seen it to talk about everything I couldn’t say in the review. So spoilers galore. This won’t be part of the regular podcast but its own entity so people can either download it or skip it altogether. In the meantime if you’ve seen the movie and have any questions you can leave them at (415) 777-6268. For this one we’re only looking for questions not comments. UPDATE: We have to work out the time and figure out how we’re going to do it but director Vadim Perelman will be on the podcast when it happens. UPDATE 2: Expect the LIFE BEFORE HER EYES podcast to post some time Thursday morning… For this one we’re only looking for questions not comments. Fallis knew not to bother trying to find a publisher without first securing an agent. But when he sent the finished book out to a bunch of agents two years ago most didn’t even bother to favour him with a formal rejection. Already practiced in alternative media as the host of a regular podcast about public relations Fallis decided to try that route with his book. In January he introduced The Best Laid Plans as a weekly serialized podcast. "Lo and behold people started to listen" he says. "I started to get wonderful feedback. The only complaints I got were `Do you have to wait a week before you put the next chapter up?’ It’s a book about Canadian politics but comments came from people all over the world… "I started to get wonderful feedback. The only complaints I got were `Do you have to wait a week before you put the next chapter up?’ It’s a book about Canadian politics but comments came from people all over the world. "The podcasts were picked up by the English-language service of Radioropa Europe’s largest satellite radio network. Then for roughly $4000 Fallis put out a bound copy of the book with the help of iUniverse a print-on-demand company. Within 48 hours of the Leacock announcement he had an agent. "It’s still a long shot that it will get picked up by a publisher but it certainly has aroused some interest. "One thing however is guaranteed.
