His quick witted improvisations and rambling commentaries always keep the show just a hair off kilter yet held steady within Pardo’s masterful grip. What began as a natural progression of his Los Angeles stage show called Running Your Trap has taken on quite another life of its own since its debut in 2006. The format of the show is such that Pardo along with his producer Matt Belknap sit down with another guest and discuss pretty much any topic that comes up from current events and politics to music and amusing anecdotes. During a recent interview I asked Pardo whether this format is a better fit for him than doing stand-up. “Stand up is just kind of the hub of the wheel and these other things are kind of the spokes that go out.
